Why I do what I do

It’s always been important to me to teach my sons about healthy food. And because I work at Stonyfield, my boys know that food doesn’t just come from the grocery store.

I’m actually part of the process of creating food for them. They understand that my work at Stonyfield doesn’t just help our family eat well, but also helps farmers and helps care for the earth — the rivers, the animals, the trees, the planet.

If I could have my boys learn one thing from my work at Stonyfield, it would be overall respect for the earth and an understanding that we need to be the earth’s stewards.

Natural Resource Director Lisa Drake develops and directs programs that help us reduce our use of natural resources and our overall impact on the planet. Lisa’s sons are three and six years old.
