Our newest flavor of Oikos received a 95/100 from Lempert and he says, “Finally there is a chocolate yogurt that is good. Men’s Health MagazineMen’s Health Magazine just released their “20 Best Organic Foods for Men” line-up (March 2010). We made the list twice; once for our reduced fat, 2% organic milk, and again for our Oikos Organic 0% fat Greek yogurt with honey! Editors say that our low-fat milk is “creamy, without the calories.” They also mention that our Oikos Honey is “sweetened naturally, without added preservatives.”

The Organic Difference
Body + SoulIn the Body+Soul on-line article, “Organic Food and You,” readers learn what makes organic food and farming different than conventional (January 31, 2010). Our CE-Yo Gary Hirshberg says, “When you put ‘organic’ on your label, you’re entering a good-faith contract with your consumer.” He adds, “On the one hand, that contract says that I the consumer will pay you a little more for it, but you damn well better be straight with me, because if I find out you’re not, you’ll never be forgiven.”

A recent segment of the CBS Early Show titled, “New Year, New You - Nutrition,” featured ways for women to achieve these goals, through specific foods that benefit their health and reduce aging (January 9, 2010). According to nutritionist Cynthia Sass, author of “The Ultimate Diet Log,” it’s important for women in their thirties to get enough calcium, as they are still building bone mass. The Many Benefits of YoBaby
Buzzle.comHaven’t heard of Buzzle.com? Well, more than a few folks have! Approximately 2,872,423 people check out this website each month. They recently learned how to help their baby gain weight, and one suggestion was feeding baby YoBaby yogurt (October 2009). The website recommends YoBaby because it’s made with whole milk, it’s organic and it comes in lots of flavors. Perhaps a few million ‘Buzzlers’ will be checking out YoBaby the next time they’re at the market.

Oikos Greek yogurt was recently dubbed "ridiculously healthy" by the folks at Prevention magazine. In an article titled "25 Ridiculously Healthy Foods," the magazine’s editors suggest that readers check out Greek yogurt since it has twice the protein of regular yogurt and contains immune-boosting bacteria. In a feature titled "From Trash to Treasure" our yogurt cup is pictured with a flower growing out of it – showing the publication’s 1.5 million readers that our partner Terracycle turns yogurt containers into garden pots and sells them at major retailers.

Celebrity nutritionist Keri Glassman made our Oikos Greek yogurt and Fat-Free Plain yogurts celebrities, too. She sang their praises on an Oct. 12 CBS Early Show segment telling viewers everything they need to know about choosing the right yogurt. Philadelphia Inquirer A recent article reviewing FOOD Inc., written by Steven Rea of the Philadelphia Inquirer (June 2009) has been published in numerous newspapers – with a total audience of over 3.8 million! The article gives a positive review of the film and explains that our CE-Yo Gary believes that "organic food can and be made and marketed to the masses."

The editors at Ladies Home Journal think that Stonyfield yogurt works great as a home remedy to help prevent and shorten intestinal infections. The folks at Woman’s World think that you deserve the best yogurt! And according to them, that means you should eat Stonyfield Farm Organic Low-fat Vanilla. In the February 2009 article, "You Deserve the Best Yogurt," our Low-fat Vanilla is featured as a "Waist-Friendly Organic Goodie." Nutritionist Monica Reinagel of nutritiondata.com says, "Low-fat yogurt usually means uncreamy and too bitter, but Stonyfield Organic is very rich and SO good." If the magazine’s 2 million readers are looking for tasty fork-free foods, our smoothies will soon be flying off the shelves! 


Take a look in Business Week (May 2009) and you’ll see that Stonyfield has landed third place as one of the Country’s "Most Promising Social Entrepreneurs." A round of applause to us as there were over 200 nominations submitted. The idea was to "track down trailblazing companies that aimed to turn a profit while tackling social problems."
